live race control

During the qualifying and the race there will be live race control to issue penalties during the race. Penalties can range from a warning to a disqualification.

• AM or higher Racing License is required for GT4 cars.
• PRO-AM or higher Racing License is required for GT3 cars.

PRE-QUALIFICATION REQUIRED

GT3 class has a time requirement to classify: each driver must set a faster than 2:04.000 lap time in the free practice session. We want to make the GT3 class only for more experienced drivers. GT4 class drivers have to make 10 valid (clean) laps in the event's FP server.

The divisions will be ordered by the average team lap time, so make sure your average is fast if you want to be in the first division. 

CIRCUIT

Mount Panorama is a legendary circuit in Australia famous for the technical mountain section of narrow track surrounded by concrete walls. It is a place that demands respect from the drivers! It's a world famous circuit for the endurance races and the V8 Supercar races held on it. Weather can change quickly in real life and usually there is some rain during the endurance races so expect the same here as well.

ENDURANCE USING ONE ACCOUNT ON ACC

For special events on Assetto Corsa Competizione, it’s enough to have one WSS account per team to participate in the race. IT IS NOT mandatory to have at least 2 drivers in a team!

To make the racing fair for all teams, the maximum stint time is 65min. However, you still need to represent a team to participate in this event, even if you will race using one account. Find a team or create a team here.

ENDURANCE USING MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS

It is also possible for a team to race that's made up of 2 to 3 different WSS accounts. You need to join or create a team to race with your team members. A maximum of 3 (three) drivers in one team are allowed. Maximum stint time is 65min.

How to perform driver swap?

You can join the free practice server via WSS. First, you need to sign in to your WSS account. You can register for free if you don't have a WSS account.

When you are signed in, simply click FREE PRACTICE, choose your car, and click CONNECT. Then you will see 3 steps on how to join the server in ACC and the server name.

BRIEFING

There will be a mandatory briefing for all the drivers. All drivers must attend the briefing because we will provide all the necessary information on how to race in this special event. After the briefing, there will be a Q&A session that is not mandatory. Briefing starts 1h before the server starts and will take approximately 30 minutes. 

The briefing will be on the World Sim Series Discord #wss-briefing channel.

slit qualifying

Qualifying will be split between GT3 and GT4 cars in div1. In other divisions, it will be mixed. There will be Race Control messages in the in-game chat informing about the procedure. Big penalties for the teams that will not follow the procedure.

Qualifying procedure:

• Qualifying begins (45min remaining). Only GT4 cars can exit the pitlane and do the qualifying.
• 25 min remaining. The qualifying for GT4 is over. GT4 cars that started the lap before the 25 min remaining time can finish the flying lap.
• 22 min remaining. No cars on track.
• 20 min remaining. GT3 qualifying begins. Only GT3 cars can exit the pitlane.
• GT3 qualifying ends like a normal qualifying session.

LIVE BROADCAST

There will be a live broadcast with commentary of Division 1 on WSS Social Media: FB, Youtube, Twitch, and other media channels. The stream link will be announced on our social media a day before the event. Subscribe to our YouTube channel to get notifications about our live streams.

PRIZES - AWARDS

Reward for the podium of each class and the drivers of each team in each division:

1st place - 3 months WSS Premium subscription

2nd place - 2 months WSS Premium subscription

3rd place - 1 month WSS Premium subscription

GOOD TO KNOW:

• The official communication and updates will be in the Discord #announcements channel
• The minimum driver count in one team is set to 1
• The maximum driver count in one team is set to 3
• GT3 and GT4 cars have the updated LFM BoP.
• Pit lane speed. Don’t forget to reduce speed before entering the pit lane! ACC will give a penalty for speeding in pits. Also same when exiting the pit lane - if you are using an automatic pit limiter it might cut a bit too early and you will get a penalty. We recommend accelerating only after driving over the exit line even with an automatic pit limiter. ACC will give a penalty for speeding in pits and a DSQ for severe violations!
• The weather will be dynamic and the parameters may be adjusted up until the race day. 
• Racing incidents can also be reported using the ‘Report Driver’ system inside the event results page. All reports will be reviewed by race control after the race and time penalties will be added to the total time for the team that will break the rules.
• Steam Account. Make sure to use the same Steam account for registering and driving during the event - your steam ID is captured when you register and a server slot will be reserved for that specific Steam account.
• The Primary Driver must connect to the server first. Otherwise, you may be stuck in spectator mode. How to perform driver swap?
• Custom car liveries can be uploaded by premium users, see documentation here.
• By default, custom liveries are not installed for participants to prevent game freezes and performance issues.
• However, if you have no problem with that and would still like to see all custom liveries, you need to enable this
• In your WSS settings (User menu > Settings > Game Content > Install ACC Liveries)
• Make sure you follow maximum driver stint time. See rules section 2.12.7 and 2.12.8.
