Your team can choose from 5 GT-M cars (6th may be added during registration period when released by RSS) and MX5 CUP car. We recommend GT-M cars for more experienced drivers as they are more complex and significantly faster. They come with a manual from RSS how to operate them. MX5 cup car has minimal setup option and is easy to drive fast.
All cars BoP could be updated no later than 2 weeks before the start.
Sebring is a historic race being held from 1952 on Sebring International Raceway. The track is very old school: narrow, strange inconsistent cambers and of course the bumpy airbase section. Yes, this track is made on and next to a WW2 airfield. The last and first sections of the race track have a surface like no other - concrete blocks. It’s not uncommon for cars to jump to the outside over the bumps in the corners.
We want to ensure that only responsible teams take to the start line, which is why there are classification requirements.
Requirements for each driver who wants to participate with the GT class car:
Requirements for each driver who wants to participate with the MX5 class car:
If you drive clean laps in practice you will complete the required valid laps requirements faster and also learn how to properly drive in endurance races, where consistent and clean laps are much more important than overall pace.
Divisions will be ordered by the fastest lap from the free practice session. More specifically by an average of the fastest laps set by the team. So if you want to race in the first division which will have live race control and live broadcast make sure you and your teammates put in a good lap in the free practice session of this event. You can see in which division you are currently if you have a Premium subscription.
Qualifying will be split for GT and MX5 cars. It will be the same 45 min session for both car classes. The first 20 min is for MX5 cars, then a short break, and the last 20min is for GT cars.
It’s enough to have one WSS account per team to participate in the race. IT IS NOT mandatory to have at least 2 drivers in a team!
All the teams in the race will have to make 6 (six) Long Pitstops, which will take 3 minutes each. It doesn’t matter if you do a driver swap during the Long Pitstop or not. However, you need to represent a team to participate in this event, even if you will race using one account. Find a team or create a team here.
It is also possible for a team to race from different WSS accounts. You will need to make a minimum 6 (six) Long Pitstops or do the driver swaps. To race with your team members you need to join or create a team. A maximum of 3 drivers in one team are allowed.
There will be a mandatory briefing for all the drivers participating in Sebring 12H. All drivers must attend the briefing because we will provide all the necessary information on how to race. After the briefing, there will be a Q&A session that is not mandatory. Briefing starts 1h before the race server starts and will take approximately 15 minutes.
The briefing will be on the World Sim Series WSS-briefing channel.
Prizes are awarded to all drivers in GT-AM, GT-PRO-AM, GT-PRO+, MX5:
