Submerse yourself into the world of endurance racing, where strategy, dealing with traffic, and driving fast yet consistently is key. Special events will be free to enter and enjoy for you and your friends! At least 2 drivers from a team are required to participate. The team can consist of a maximum of 6 drivers. You can create your own team or search for teams here. 

24 HOURS OF DAYTONA

is a prestigious 24-hour sports car endurance race held annually at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. It is run on the Sports Car Course layout, a 3.56-mile (5.73 km) combined road course, utilizing portions of the tri-oval and an infield road course allowing for some strategic drafting and fuel saving. 

CAR CLASSES

Your team can choose from 8 GT3 cars and 4 DPi cars. We recommend DPi cars only for experienced sim racers because their speed can be compared to an LMP2 car and they don’t have ABS. GT3 cars are easier to set up and usually provide closer racing.

To participate in this championship, you need to have:

Assetto Corsa Ultimate edition;

• Content Manager;
• Shaders patch activated (How to activate) latest v0.1.75 (recommended), but no older than v0.1.62: 
• Enabled real Penalty APP:

The "Real penalty app" will be downloaded automatically by joining event using WSS app.

CONTENT MANAGER USERS must download Real penalty app manually and enable it.

FAQ

- Will it be rolling or standing start?

Standing

- What is maximum stint time or minimum driver swaps during the race?

10 driver swaps are required, failing to do so will result in team disqualification. You will have Swaps */10 counter on the screen during the race. Stint time is not limited additionally, but fuel and tyres will limit it naturally.*

- I have high ping (>150) on your servers can I still race?

It is more important to have stable connection than low ping. Wired connection is strongly recommended, though it does not guarantee stable connection. Also monitor if you receive ‘unstable connection’ messages in practice server - message means server did not receive car updates from you for some time (~0.5second). Constantly receiving these messages indicates unstable connection (ask nicely your household .*

- When does Race/Qualify/Official practice start?

Official race server starts 14:00 GMT+0 January 15th, qualify ~14:03 - 14:48, race will start ~14:48.*

- How many drivers can participate in one team?

From 2 to 6 drivers can participate from one team. If there is less or more drivers registered - team registration will be cancelled automatically before race starts and after registration ends.*

- How will driver swaps work in AC?

- Will there be safety car, red flags?

- How can I test driver swaps?

Whole week until Daytona 24h there is a Daytona 1h sprint series. This race happens every 4 hours

- How will drivers be split into divisions? (how will 63 or more teams fit into 39 grid slots?)

Divisions are created based on team ratings. The highest rating teams will be in Division 1. Team rating is the average of team drivers’ ratings who registered to the race (not all drivers in the team). All team drivers can race in any WSS organizer race to increase their and team’s rating prior to Daytona 24h. Rating is captured only when Daytona 24h server starts.*

- Will the race be broadcasted?

There will be automatic stream on Youtube and Twitch* of division 1. Check our social media channels in this event TOP menu.

- Can I change the car setup during swap?

Yes

-How incidents will work during the race?

Incident points are calculated depending on crash impact speed ranging 1-2 for single contact. Maximum incidents per race is set to 24. After the team exceeds 24 incidents stop n go (10 s) penalty applies.

-STOP n GO penalty

Stop n Go penalty must be served in any place of the pitlane but not in your pit box.

If you get a penalty entering the pits, the penalty must be served in another lap. If the pitlane was entere for a driver swap, there will be extra wait time added to the driver swap countdown.

-How works accident and cut warnings?

Warning goes to all team drivers. If one driver gets a warning, second and other drivers will still have it after the driver swap.

Cut warnings are set to 2. Exceeding the number of warnings will result in a drive-through penalty (entering and leaving the pitlane). After you serve a drive-through penalty, cut warning will reset to 0.

-Hey, can I change my setup after driver swap?

Yes, every driver who connects to server can use their own personal setup.

-Do I have to remain in my pit box and wait for the driver swap time to go to 0?

You are able to leave your pit box before the timer goes to 0 but DO NOT leave the pit lane.

-What penalty will I get if I will be speeding when entering pits?

there are different stages:

>100 Stop n go

>80 drive through

>over 200kmh -> DQ

-How to get content for this race?

Welcome to WSS. Forget .rars and folders. This system downloads and installs all the necessary content by using WSS app or Content manager.

-How can I upload my team skin?

The team member who has premium subscription is able to upload custom car livery in join event step. All other team members will be able to use the same custom livery that premium team member will upload.
