WELCOME TO 12 HOURS OF SEBRING

SPECIAL EVENT ON ASSETTO CORSA

Submerse yourself into the world of endurance racing, where strategy, dealing with traffic, and driving fast yet consistently is key. Special events will be free to enter and enjoy for you and your friends!

12 Hours of Sebring is a historic race being held from 1952 on Sebring International Raceway. The track is very old school: narrow, strange inconsistent cambers and of course the bumpy airbase section. Yes, this track is made on and next to a WW2 airfield. The last and first sections of the race track have a surface like no other - concrete blocks. It’s not uncommon for cars to jump to the outside over the bumps in the corners. Having a good spring and damper setup is very important to have a safe car to race for 12h on this surface.

ENDURANCE USING ONE ACCOUNT

From now, it’s enough to have one WSS account per team to participate in the race. IT IS NOT mandatory to have at least 2 drivers in a team anymore!

All the teams in the race will have to make 5 (five) Long Pitstops, which will take 2 minutes each. It doesn’t matter if you do a driver swap during the Long Pitstop or not. However, you need to represent a team to participate in this event, even if you will race using one account. Find a team or create a team here.

ENDURANCE USING MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS

It is also possible for a team to race from different WSS accounts. You will need to make min 5 (five) Long Pitstops to do the driver swaps. To race with your team members you need to join or create a team. Maximum 4 (four) drivers in one team are allowed.

FAQ

- Can multiple drivers race from the same rig?

Yes, but they need to use one WSS account.

- Driver swap

Read here how to make driver swap

- What is the maximum stint time or minimum driver changes during the race?

5 driver changes (LONG PITS) are required, failing to do so will result in team disqualification. You will have Long Pits */5 counter on the screen during the race. Stint time is not limited additionally, but fuel and tyres will limit it naturally.

- What is LONG PITS?

LONG PITS is a pit stop where car must remain in pit lane for minimum 2 minutes without serving a penalty. Read more here

- Will it be a rolling or standing start?

Standing

- I have a high ping (>150) on your servers. Can I still race?

It is more important to have a stable connection than a low ping. Read more about it here.

- When does Race/Qualify/Official practice start?

Official race server starts 12:00 GMT+0 March 12th, qualifying ~12:03 - 12:48, race start ~12:50.

- How many drivers can participate in one team?

From 1 to 4 drivers can participate in one team.

- How can I test drivers swap?

One week until the 12 hours of Sebring there is a Sebring 1h sprint series. This race will happen every 4 hours.

- How will drivers be split into divisions?

Divisions are created based on team ratings. The highest rating teams will be in Division 1. Team rating is the average of team drivers’ ratings who registered to the race (not all drivers in the team). All team drivers can race in any WSS organizer race to increase their and team’s rating prior to the 12 Hours of Sebring. Rating is captured only when 12 Hours of Sebring server starts.

- Will the race be broadcasted?

There will be a stream on Youtube and Twitch of division 1. Check our social media channels in the top menu of this event.

- How will the incident system work during the race?

Incident points are calculated depending on crash impact speed ranging 1-2 for a single contact. Maximum incidents per race is set to 50. After the team exceeds 50 incidents stop n go (10 s) penalty applies.

- STOP n GO penalty

Stop n Go penalty must be served in any place of the pitlane but not in your pit box. If you get a penalty entering the pits, the penalty must be served in another lap. If the pitlane was entered for a driver swap, there will be extra wait time added to the driver swap countdown.

-How will cut warnings work?

The warning goes to all team drivers. If one driver gets a warning, second and other drivers will still have it after the driver swap. Cut warnings are set to 4. Exceeding the number of warnings will result in a drive-through penalty (entering and leaving the pitlane). After you serve a drive-through penalty, the cut warning will reset to 0.

- Can I change the car setup during the race?

Yes, every time a new driver connects to the server, a new setup can be loaded.

-Do I have to remain in my pit box and wait for the driver swap time to go to 0?

You are able to leave your pit box before the timer goes to 0, but DO NOT leave the pit lane (do not cross the pit lane exit line).

-What penalty will I get if I will be speeding when entering pits?

there are different stages:

>80km/h drive-through.

>100km/h Stop n go 10s.

>over 200 km/h -> stop n go 60s.

-How to get content for this race?

Welcome to WSS. Forget .rars and folders. This system downloads and installs all the necessary content by using WSS app or Content manager.

-How can I upload my team skin?

The team member who has a premium subscription is able to upload custom car livery in the “join event” step. All other team members will be able to use the same custom livery that the premium team member has uploaded.
