2H 20min race ON ASSETTO CORSA
Taking into account what is happening in Ukraine at the moment, we cannot remain indifferent. We are announcing Race for Ukraine to raise money for Voices of Children charity that helps children affected by the war in Ukraine.
We are inviting all WSS users to participate in the race, during which broadcast WSS will collect donations for children affected by the war in Ukraine. You can also donate to Voices of Children now.
It’s a Ukrainian charity that provides psychological and psychosocial support to children to help them overcome the consequences of armed conflict and develop.
For all those planning to take part in the charity race and do their own stream, please share WSS broadcast link, so that people watching your stream could easily find where to donate.
Despite the main purpose of this race, this race will be a great opportunity to practice for the WSS special event 12H of Sebring on March 12th.
From now, it’s enough to have one WSS account per team to participate in the race. IT IS NOT mandatory to have at least 2 drivers in a team anymore!
All the teams in the race will have to make 1 (one) Long Pitstop, which will take 2 minutes each. It doesn’t matter if you do a driver swap during the Long Pitstop or not. However, you need to represent a team to participate in this event, even if you will race using one account. Find a team or create a team here.
It is also possible for a team to race from different WSS accounts. You will need to make min 1 (one) Long Pitstops to do the driver swaps. To race with your team members you need to join or create a team. Maximum 2 (two) drivers in one team are allowed.
There has been massive progress and all the issues that troubled 24 Hours of Daytona have been resolved! We can announce that WSS was co-working with the Real Penalty creator and we will use the newest generation app with many nice updates.
The race will have two classes- GT4 and GT3. In each class, you can choose from many different cars. There are open setups for both classes to fully adjust the car for your team on this bumpy track surface.
The "Real penalty app" will be downloaded automatically by joining event using WSS app.
CONTENT MANAGER USERS must download Real penalty app manually and enable it.
- Can multiple drivers race from the same rig?
Yes, but they need to use only one WSS account.
- Driver swap
Read here how to make driver swap
- What is the maximum stint time or minimum driver changes during the race?
1 driver changes (LONG PITS) are required, failing to do so will result in team disqualification. You will have Long Pits */1 counter on the screen during the race. Stint time is not limited additionally, but fuel and tyres will limit it naturally.
- What is LONG PITS?
LONG PITS is a pit stop where a car must remain in the pit lane for minimum of 2 minutes without serving a penalty. Read more here
- Will it be a rolling or standing start?
Standing
- I have a high ping (>150) on your servers. Can I still race?
It is more important to have a stable connection than a low ping. Read more about it here.
- How many drivers can participate in one team?
From 1 to 2 drivers can participate in one team.
- How will drivers be split into divisions?
Divisions are created based on team ratings. The highest rating teams will be in Division 1. Team rating is the average of team drivers’ ratings who registered to the race (not all drivers in the team). All team drivers can race in any WSS organizer race to increase their and team’s rating prior to the event. Rating is captured only when eventserver starts.
- Will the race be broadcasted?
There will be a stream on WSS Facebook, Youtube and Twitch of division 1. Check our social media channels in the top menu of this event.
- How will the incident system work during the race?
Incident points are calculated depending on crash impact speed ranging 1-2 for a single contact. After the team exceeds 25 incidents drive-through penalty applies. Maximum incidents per race is set to 50, if the team exceeds 50 incidents KICK of the server penalty applies.
- STOP n GO penalty
Stop n Go penalty must be served in any place of the pitlane but not in your pit box. If you get a penalty entering the pits, the penalty must be served in another lap. If the pitlane was entered for a driver swap, there will be extra wait time added to the driver swap countdown.
-How will cut warnings work?
The warning goes to all team drivers. If one driver gets a warning, second and other drivers will still have it after the driver swap. Cut warnings are set to 4. Exceeding the number of warnings will result in a drive-through penalty (entering and leaving the pitlane). After you serve a drive-through penalty, the cut warning will reset to 0.
- Can I change the car setup during the race?
Yes, every time a new driver connects to the server, a new setup can be loaded.
-Do I have to remain in my pit box and wait for the driver swap time to go to 0?
You are able to leave your pit box before the timer goes to 0, but DO NOT leave the pit lane (do not cross the pit lane exit line).
-What penalty will I get if I will be speeding when entering pits?
there are different stages:
>80km/h drive-through.
>100km/h Stop n go 10s.
>over 200 km/h -> stop n go 60s.
