To have larger grids and more interesting races for both the drivers and the viewers we made this special event free to enter. However, there will be no live race stewarding and no cash prizes. You can still submit driver reports, but the action will be taken after the race. There will still be a live broadcast with commentating. 

Racing for Ukraine

As the war continues in Ukraine we once again want to raise money for Voices of Children charity that helps children affected by the war in Ukraine.

We are inviting all WSS users to participate in the race, during the broadcast WSS will collect donations for children affected by the war in Ukraine. You can also donate to Voices of Children directly now.

About Voice of Children charity

It’s a Ukrainian charity that provides psychological and psychosocial support to children to help them overcome the consequences of armed conflict and develop.

For all those planning to take part in the charity race and do their own stream, please share WSS broadcast link, so that people watching your stream could easily find where to donate.

Race length changes

We decided to change things up a bit and don’t follow a real-life race length of 24h. Instead, we will do 12h of racing because this is what our community has voted for!

It’s the track that needs no introduction - Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. We all have driven on it and we all love its long sweeping technical corners and the challenge of Eau Rouge.

OUR COMMUNITY

These decisions were made based on our community’s responses to a questionnaire on WSS Discord, where most of you responded that you drive for the challenge of it and not the prizes. As well as most of you wanted for this special event to be on ACC and be shortened to 12h of racing.

PRIZES - AWARDS

We decided to make this event free to enter, therefore the only prizes will be WSS Premium subscriptions. Prizes will be awarded to each class podium team members. 

1st place - 6 months WSS Premium 

2nd place - 3 months WSS Premium 

3rd place - 1 month WSS Premium 

GOOD TO KNOW:

• The minimum driver count in one team is set to 2
• The maximum driver count in one team is set to 4
• Pit lane speed. Don’t forget to reduce speed before entering the pit lane! ACC will give a penalty for speeding in pits. Also same when exiting pit lane - if you are using an automatic pit limiter it might cut a bit too early and you will get a penalty. We recommend accelerating only after driving over the exit line even with an automatic pit limiter.
• The weather in the race will be adjusted according to real-life forecast predictions.
• Racing incidents should be reported using the ‘Report Driver’ system inside the event results page. All reports will be reviewed by race control after the race and time penalties will be added to the total time for the team that will break the rules.
• Steam Account. Make sure to use the same Steam account for registering and driving during the event - your steam ID is captured when you register and a server slot will be reserved for that specific Steam account.
• The Primary Driver must connect to the server first. Otherwise, you may be stuck in spectator mode.
• Custom car liveries can be uploaded by premium users, see documentation here.
• By default, custom liveries are not installed for participants to prevent game freezes and performance issues.
• However, if you have no problem with that and would still like to see all custom liveries, you need to enable this
• In your WSS settings (User menu > Settings > Game Content > Install ACC Liveries)
